Hi Michael,

Firefox has completely different implementation of Google Gears. It'll store
your offline data in a different location than the WebKit based browsers
like Mailplane/Fluid/Safari.

Yes, the offline-download is done twice. Once for Firefox and once for the
WebKit based browsers.
There's no problem using Gears in Firefox and Mailplane at the same time.
