I'm coming over from Apple Mail, and one of the best feature is that I
can right click on a new contact's name and add it to my Mac Address
Book, which is sync'ed with my GMail Contact list.

Now that I'm on Mailplane/Gmail and I can't figure out how to do it
via the minimal # of clicks.  I've searched Google Mail help, and
searched in this group, and can't seem to find an answer.  Is there a
better way to do this kind of quick add, short of copying the address
and name, clicking Contact on the left pane to open up the Contact
view, clicking the +Contact button, and pasting in the first/last/
email?  It doesn't matter if it's added to Mac or Gmail address books,
either way would works as they are sync'ed.
