I have three Gmail accounts, Work, Personal and Old. I have two set up in Mailplane: Work and Personal. However, when I switch accounts to Personal, it takes me into Old - even though it displays the message count for Personal in the menu bar.
I used to have all 3 set up in Mailplane, so I think that's how it has become confused.
