Mailplane version 2.5.5. preview
3 accounts
1 account would not open, stuck at screen "switching to {account name}
2 other accounts opened fine
Reset gmail session did nothing
Renamed ~/Library/Application Support/Mailplane3 to MailPlane3.old
Relaunched and everything was fine, but lost my preferences
Moved things back to normal, deleted three cookies files and the xml prefs
file
Everything works now.

Suspicion cookie file was corrupted.
I saved all files, to whom and what do I email the files to? I can
replicate this problem still by putting the files back in place. I do not
want to send files to someone that give them access to my account, can you
address how to do this?

I grabbed the log just after I solved everything:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/340087/drops/12.03.11/Mailplane.log-fd-182648.txt
*( Some find and replaces done on email addressees I don't want publicly
known, they are consistent throughout the log file ) *But that may be the
mailplane3 log that was made when I was testing out demo 3, where is the
normal log?

I did save you a grep out of system log i.e.: `cd /var/log; grep -i plane |
mate`
You can grab that here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/340087/drops/12.03.11/mailplane-system.log.txt-85-185215.txt

This is the session when it started:

Dec 3 18:22:41 whitebook Mailplane[957]: [INFO] starting second stage.

And I believe this is what is the problem, but have no idea what it
means :) I have some guesses, but you are the masters with the
source...

What is the story behind all the exceptions for NSArchiverArchiveInconsistency

I see a good deal of references to EverNote, something I don't use.
Is there any way to fully remove it and al calls to it, it can't
possibly hurt, and maybe help, if an app or plug-in or other injection
of code that doesn't exists no longer is trying to do so?

I see a lot of reference to JS in this file, how can I get access to that
JS? I want to be able to make my own user scripts or my own safari
extensions.

In the main folder the localstorage folder was empty. Any idea how that
happened?

Can you tell me about this file, it's purpose, and anything else I may want
to know from a troubleshooting
perspective:
/private/var/db/BootCaches/{ID}/app.com.mailplaneapp.Mailplane.playlist

Can you tell me about .account-description in ~/Library/Application Support

Is Mailplane safe from .DS_Store files in all directories, or should I
worry and make sure there are non in locations like ./Application
Support/Mailplane/.DS_Store and ~/Library/Application
Support/Mailplane/.DS_Store

Attaching a crashreporter item. I notice the OS version has not been
updated, it is wrong for my current OS. Mailplane preview version is off
compared to the version I am running. This file was made 4 days ago, I
archive my crash reports out via script after logging out so there is
little activity into date stamped folders. The path to the filename itself
has a date string in it which does not match the date of creation that I
show.

There is so little in this file, I feel safe putting it up for you to look
at:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/340087/drops/12.03.11/Desktop-23-184408.zip

I once had version 3 beta test installed, can you tell me how to make sure
100% of it is removed. I only ask because I want to remove any confusion
of files that I may be looking at, sending you, or trying to test case as
to what is going on.

What are the file files:
com.apple.ocl.32.data
com.apple.ocl.32.maps
Cache.db
used for?, can they safely be deleted as a troubleshooting method?

Thanks for your help and answers, I appreciate it. I know I am asking a
lot of questions. Email is my works 80% of it at least. If it is down, so
am I. I can use gmail, but that slows me down a lot, so when there are
issues, I need to know how to get back to a working state. If I can't do
so reliably, I would have to look to Chrome, or Prism, or some other hack
to make something similar until Chrome has real "save as app" features. But
I don't want to. I like Mailplane just fine, I like the devs, the
community etc.

However, once and for all, can someone explain to me why we can't; have
Safari like extensions, and if not, why can't we have user scripts? Safari
has both.

Thank you again, so much, it really is a great app.
