I'm finding something similar. When I delete, it appears to be deleted but it isn't in TRASH and on any other device, android, iphone, and on the website it is STILL in the inbox. I also cannot send and cannot empty trash, or say empty spam. Lots of 500 errors. Something is definitely up with this build.
