Same problem here, currently two of 15 users. Do you also have the problem that you can't drag and drop attachments into emails with those users?
Hope it gets fixed soon, I have the nagging feeling that Google will roll out that update to more of my users, and then things will get ugly: we rely heavily on AppleScript here to compose messages, and that has stopped working, too.
