I am also somewhat dissapointed by some of the development decisions of
Mailplane 3. I understand minimalism is a good thing, but those extra
features Mailplane used to have are the reason why someone would be willing
to pay for the application in the first place.

By all means Mailplane 3 feels to me as a downgrade from Mailplane 2 in
terms of funcionctionalities. It doesn´t make sense really.

As I mentioned in my previous email, gmail rich text signatures are not the
same as html signatures, as Mailplane 2 had. This is definitely a step
behind. I found a way around this, but I asume that if I pay for an
application is beacuse it makes my life easier, not more complicated.

The case for Growl is the same. It is far more useful and interesting than
OX notifications. And then again: if they were already integrated with
Mailplane 2, why not leaving it that way?

Now finally my next question: Is it possible to keep using Mailplane 2 with
Mountain Lion or will it have radical incompatibilities? Can I keep Google
old compose mode working together with Mailplane 2 in Mounatin Lion or will
I be forced to update to the new compose mode by Google eventually?
