I have the same behavior here. Mailplane uses incredible amount of memory. up to 12GB!! on my iMac with 16GB RAM!!!! I had to switch to chrome-gmail app on my macbook air i7, 4GB because it was impossible to continue to work. As I don't get any answer from the developers... we are evaluating different solutions now. It's a shame because it was a really good client.... but not anymore!!!
