I can't believe I am the only one bothered by this. Maybe it's because I've recently changed jobs and have had to update or add many new contacts. Anyway, contacts changed a little about a week ago. Maybe this is still rolling out to others. Now, as you mouse over your list in contacts 3 options appear to the far right of each person as they are highlighted. Those options are ✩ (favorite), ✏ (edit), and more actions (hamburger menu). Also, the circle in the bottom right that is used to add new people has a plus sign in it.
It works that way in other browsers, but not Mailplane. The list on the far right of each contact does not appear and there is no plus in the bottom right circle. Also, in the far left column of the contacts list there is a letter representing where you are in the list; A, B, C etc. The first thing on the list is ✩ to show your favorites. That is missing in Mailplane too. I'm no programmer, but it seems like this could be such a small thing to fix. I thought you would get it for free from safari if it wasn't somehow blocked. If it wasn't for the fantastically fast response I have seem from the Mailplane team in the past, I wouldn't be so impatient.
