Hi Alex,
It is happening to me. It started today after i restarted my computer.

I am still using Yosemite (10.10.4) but i checked on my App Store and my 
Safari is up-to-date (for my O.S. version, I guess). I reset Mailplane and 
the problem was not solved. I even tried re-installing it. Still persists. 
I left a ticket on the support page.

The funny thing is that my default browser is Chrome, not Safari. When I 
open gmail within Chrome, the normal -not the basic HTML- window appears. 
It is only in Mailplane that I get this.

Any suggestions?
