Role Title: Project Management *

*Role Function: *
Project Management role executes project management processes for the
development of new solutions and services and has the overall responsibility
for the successful planning and execution of a project.

Project Specific Role Requirements *
· Experience with enterprise financial and procurement applications as
listed in Appendix C
· Experience in ITIL service operations processes such as Change Management,
Configuration Management, and Provisioning (hardware, accounts, etc.)
· Experience managing infrastructure projects within the Windows, Linux and
Solaris environments
· Experience with enterprise-class servers and storage
· Experience with complex High Availability and Disaster Recovery
architectures
· Experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry or a similar regulated
environment
· Able to communicate effectively with technology service providers and
engineers/architects
· Knowledge of Pfizer's internal processes (ELC, NSA, CDP, RFC, etc.)

Major Role Responsibilities*:
· Execute the five major process groups of project management: 1)
Initiating, 2) Planning, 3) Executing, 4) Controlling and Monitoring, and 5)
Closing for the development of new information technology solutions and
services.
· Perform the following project management services: Project Integration
Management, Project Scope Management, Project Time Management, Project Cost
Management, Project Quality Management, Project Human Resource Management,
Project Communications Management, Project Risk Management, and Project
Procurement Management.
· Plan, execute and finalize project according to established project
schedule and budget in accordance with applicable Pfizer financial,
portfolio, information technology and other applicable policies and
procedures. This includes managing the project team by engaging resources,
assigning task owners, and directing, influencing, and coordinating the
efforts of team members, internal service providers, and third-party
contractors or consultants to deliver services and project artifacts
according to plan.
· Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals
and requirements in collaboration with management, technologists and
stakeholders. Deliverable is a scope statement or statement of work and
Project Management Plan.
· Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
Deliverable is a Microsoft Project Plan & associate Project Schedule with
the elements as defined by PMI.
· Estimate the resources, services and suppliers needed to achieve project
goals. Draft and submit project budget proposals, track expenses, and
recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Deliverable is a
Project Estimate and Financial Report.
· Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and
stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders
on an ongoing basis. Deliverable is a Communications Plan and specific
communication activities and actions.
· Stakeholder management - set and continually manage project expectations
with team members and other stakeholders. Deliverable is a Stakeholder
Management Plan.
· Track and manage project milestones/deliverables, cost, and quality.
Develop and deliver performance reports, change proposals, and status
presentations to stakeholders. Determine the frequency and content of status
reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem
areas. Deliverable is a Project Status Report & Financial Report.
· Proactively manage changes in project scope, determine impact on time,
cost, and quality, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Deliverable is a Change Management Plan, Change Management Log, and approved
Change Requests.
· Proactively manage project risks, impact of risks occurring, and risk
mitigation plans. Deliverable is a Risk Management Plan
· Perform Project Administration
o Lead project team meetings and sub-meetings
o Create Meeting Minutes
o Update Action Item Log
o Manage project documentation including filing, retrieval, and standards
enforcement
· Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties
throughout project life cycle. Review and verify project deliverables and
artifacts with stakeholders at significant milestones and during project
closure. Deliverable is a detailed and correct business requirements
document with performance criteria explicitly defined including a defined
picture of success.

* Experience/Background *
· Progressive experience in IT and/or business management with experience in
a Fortune 500 company.
o Level 1 Project Coordinator (1-3+ yrs)
o Level 2 Project Manager (3-5+ yrs)
o Level 3 Senior Project Manager (5-10+ yrs)
· Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to manage
geographically distributed teams, as well as the ability to operate in a
politically sensitive environment.
· Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering multiple projects of
varying scope and complexity.
· Demonstrated success in managing customer relationships
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships,
influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations to a variety of
audiences.
· Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management
and colleagues
· Ability to engage and lead customers, project teams, and service partners
in the development and implementation of specific Shared
Services/Infrastructure solutions that are aligned with the overall company
and IT strategies.
· A strong understanding of Project Management and Accounting best practices
and methodologies
· Experience with industry standards in project management and development
methodologies (e.g., PMI)
· Broad experience across multiple infrastructure technologies from
desktops/laptops and other end user devices to servers, data center, and
network devices including their deployment and operations.
· Experience in working with financial processes, systems and customers
preferred
· Experience managing programs/projects in the pharmaceutical industry
preferred
· Experience managing program/projects within Pfizer preferred
