Is this an example of what you were talking about?

        libX11.so.4 =>    /usr/lib/libX11.so.4

What I meant was that it takes a lot of time for the maintainers to try to work around the various link-errors you get.
But also, such a binary isn't guaranteed to work at all.

Ok, that means we should identify the libraries linked to Sun X11 and
rebuild them instead of working around anything, right?
