I've had a request to change the default apache2 user from nobody to webservd, following the sol10 SUNWapache2. While this isn't a _bad_ idea, it wouldn't work out of the box on sol9.
I agree that nobody (a CSW set value) isn't a good choice for this given the use of that uid for various other things (nfs, etc) and think that even using the apache default daemon would be a better option. The third option is to add a csw specific account for our apache package to use by default. I'm not sure if a change is actually warranted at this point as many sites that care about this issue will have added their own account ages ago anyway. If it is warranted, I think I'd lean toward adding a cswap2 user/group to the system... What do others think?
