Do we have a clear distinction to determine which place an item would
go though?  If it's posted to announce@ it can go in announements,
otherwise news?

I'm on the fence about which I prefer.  A clean homepage is nice, thus
I'd be inclined to at least move news to a non-frontpage location.  On
the other hand, we don't normally have enough news items to warrant a
whole page for it.
