I do like Vanilla, but I also recognize that phpBB is the leading, and the most familiar forum engine. If we wanted ensure a low entry bar on the user forum, phpBB would be the best choice. Vanilla does feel more modern though. Overall, I personally think that both are acceptable, and that it's better to have one installed relatively soon than have long debates over which one is better. Ihsan, can you pick the one that you believe is best and make a test deployment? If you don't have the time to do it yourself, could you pass credentials and access instructions to someone else?
