IMHO, it's the corresponding macro package and, possibly, texinfo, who
are the culprits. Unfortunately I do not have the required experience
to
help you further.
I think you might be right: texinfo on solaris 9 is 4.x series, on
solaris 10 it is 5.2 however, I fail to rebuild the package even on
solaris 10, but more about that in a separate thread.
