All, This is an update on the filling of the Grant Regatta. It is our goal to have the eight next best teams in MAISA after those who are going to the Amer ica. Teams should be prepared to commit to the event this weekend after the final qualifiers. The qualification process is in such a flux that we expect our planned means of qualification will have to be replaced with a combination of requests from non-America teams and judgment calls by Mike Callahan. Now that CNU has dormitories, my team will be able to make accommodations available for several teams (if only floor space). This will be on a first come first served basis. So, your early commitment to the Grant would be wise. Indeed, you may let me know of your intention now, before final qualifications just in case you do not qualify this weekend. Our foremost aim is the have eight, very closely matched teams for what could be one of the very best regattas of the season in terms of competitiveness. Dan Winters CNU
