The Grant 2011 Regatta

The Grant Regatta Hosting Rule
The Henry Luce and Leroy Grant Regattas are restricted to only those teams
that did not qualify for the corresponding conference championship.
The Grant and Luce Regattas shall be hosted by the following clubs
according to this rotation starting in 2010:
Spring 2010 – FRD, WM, OCN, HU, COR, CNU, PRN
Fall 2010 – WM, OCN, HU, COR, CNU, PRN, FRD
Spring 2011 – OCN, HU, COR, CNU, PRN, FRD, WM
Fall 2011 - HU, COR, CNU, PRN, FRD, WM OCN, ETC.
Proviso: If the club set to host has qualified for the War/America or is
unable to host for any reason acceptable to the EC, the next club in line
shall do so. The hosting responsibility then moves down the order of teams
until a host is secured. In the year following, the selection process shall
begin with the team shown in the rotation for that particular season. In
every year, the regatta host shall be approved by the EC in order to consider
changes within the prospective teams. The Grant/Luce attendees shall be
selected in alternating order (North / Central / South / North/Central/South)
beginning with the region of the hosting team.
Thus:
If OCN qualifies, HU will host.
If OCN and HU qualify, COR will host.
If OCN, HU, and COR qualify, CNU will host.
If OCN, HU, COR, and CNU qualify, PRN will host. Etc.
On Monday I will post the host for the Grant and the order in which teams
will have priority for entry. The number of teams admitted will be governed
by the number of teams the host can handle. In the past, only twice have
there been more than eight teams in this event.
If you wish to enter the Grant, you should so indicate to me by WEDNESDAY
April 6. Teams will be admitted in the order of their priority. Any untaken
berths will be awarded on a first come first served basis beginning on
THURSDAY. Keep in mind the date and time on your e-mail will govern.
