The rescheduled 2008 Nautica Vanguard 15 National Championship at Larchmont YC is just two weeks away -- July 18-20, to be held in connection with Larchmont Race Week.
Registration has been re-opened for new teams who couldn't make it the first time -- the entry fee is only $80 still -- go to http://www.larchmontyc.org/racing/V15National.shtml to register online and to check out the revised Notice of Regatta and other documents. If you came the first time, there is no entry fee to come back, but you need to tell us whether you're coming still. Please send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to let us know (yes or no) whether you will be racing. 55 teams have re-upped their registration so far. While I don't think we'll get 114 boats on the line like we did the first time, I do think we'll have at least 70-80 boats out there, which will make for a large regatta. We still have charter boats available and can help find crews. There will be more Heineken and we still have all of the incredible prizes from sponsors for the free raffle on Saturday night, like a new jib, new boat covers, etc. We even have extra t-shirts and may have new ones in smaller sizes for those of you who couldn't get a small or medium the first time around -- just show up with your old (clean) shirt and trade it in for a new, smaller one. If you can't make racing on Friday the 18th (late start time -- 4 PM first gun), that's ok. We probably won't get in more than 2-3 races on Friday so just show up Saturday morning, just like BBR.
