To the teams attending the Webb Regatta at CNU on October 25 & 26 Unfortunately the national economy has had an impact on our event as Wachovia, who has sponsored our event for the last several years, is experiencing difficulties. It now appears that they will become Wells Fargo and we'll hope to have them back next year. However, we have funding for Saturday's lunch, so you can count on this savings to your budgets. But, no T shirts this year. We'll see how things go for our spring events. One more thing, it is absolutely vital that we have a full compliment of eight teams since we must do direct swaps on the water. To insure this in the future, all Christopher Newport events will be by invitation only. Any team that no-shows for one of our events will NOT be invited back the next year. This provision will apply to those teams scheduled for this year's Webb Regatta. This year our boats will all have brand new sails for this event and they will feature the new mainsail design. We'll be looking forward to your comments after the regatta. For your convenience, I have attached directions to the CNU Sailing Center from I-64.
