Check your MIDI settings for your synth drivers. There may be a latency setting, and you want to move that down as much as possible. Most hardware synths have no discernible latency, which indicates it's happening between the output to the MIDI interface from QWS or in the interface itself. And since QWS doesn't do this for anything else I'm suspecting the MIDI interface.
