Ville reported this for Module::Build too 
(https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=3703), and while the patch 
is much simpler (only 4 lines) I'm still debating whether to apply it 
since it works around a fixed bug in beta candidates.

Then again, Red Hat 9 has really thrown a wrench into the works, and is 
probably important enough to warrant a fix.

What's your opinion on it, Schwern?
