Doh. I meant to type /uwin(?:-nt)?/, but your way works too :)


$ perl -e 'print $^O'
uwin-nt
$ perl -V:archname
archname='i686-uwin-nt';

I'm theorizing that on Win9x the '-nt' would be absent.
