I would imagine that this is something to be avoided if at all possible, and carefully observed and controlled where it has already been done. Previous introductions elsewhere show that Cichla introductions almost always have a severe effect on the native ichthyofauna, and can completely disrupt the existing ecology of an aquatic environment.
