Hello, some late feedback to explain how I solved the issue (sorry): After trying nearly *everything* you mentioned here to help me, all I did was an upgrade - I should have done this before: The version installed from Debian Etch was 0.19.2-5 a little outdated an with some security-issues too... I upgraded to 1.1.4 and *did not touch* the config and everything was fine (regarding the my e-mail problem) - that's all! So, thanks for your patience and your support! I appreciate this list!
