There are very few cases of it. There is suppose to be on in the Aeneid, which i have never read in its original text. The verb ends in iri. I had always understood that the real market for the Bohn translations was schoolboys who could hide them under the desk and read from them when called upon to translate. No doubt, though, they were useful for people who could struggle their way through the original provided they were given a little bit of help. Yet I have noticed that kind of translation, if anything even more excruciatingly literal, coming back into favour at precisely the time when the general reader can no longer be presumed to possess even the rudiments of Latin and Greek; though it beats me what use a translation is that you can understand only by referring back to the original. It does not show up as part of a future passive infinitive in either work. Could it be possible that the supine part of this infinitive is used with the force of a future passive infinitive, say "factum" for "factum iri?"
