Mantovano, I am writing a paper regarding verification strategies used by Virgil and Lucretius. I am not so sure that Virgil really needs to verify his story because he seems more concerned with simply justifying the greatness of Rome. If there are any strategies, I'm not quite sure what they are, but I think that Book 6, when Anchises shows Aeneas the Julian lineage in the underworld might hold the key. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
