I think Bril is right about this: I haven't found any references to these
critics outside of Suetonius/Donatus. But this isn't the case for all of
the critics mentioned in the vita: Asconius Pedianus is a good example of
this. As for Perellius Faustus and Q. Octavius Avitus, the fact that they
don't appear in Pauly is a pretty good sign that more information on these
particular critics is not forthcoming. But I will have a look at the EV
index next time I am in Chapel Hill.
