Hi, this topic also came up in a discussion on openlayers-dev about http://trac.openlayers.org/ticket/736.

I misinterpreted the "size" parameter, and Christopher got this Information from me. To take the height and adjust the width according to the aspect ratio seems to be the default behaviour for an image element in svg, when specifying the width and height. But the v:image element in vml stretches to the specified width and height. I did not find a way yet to tell vml to keep the aspect ratio for image elements. > Are you saying that you need full control of width and height to distort the > image? I think the requirement is to keep the aspect ratio of the image. And if someone knows how to do this in vml, it would be nice to share this knowledge here. I am playing around with this in the OpenLayers camptocamp sandbox: http://dev.openlayers.org/sandbox/camptocamp/externalGraphics/examples/vector-features.html Regards, Andreas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
