Hi List Experimenting further i('d like to see whether openlayers handles the getmap request or mapbuilder). First i checked out OpenLayers' latest version (2.4) and placed the compressed verson from build/ instead of util\openlayers\OpenLayers.js.  Maybe mabuilder uses a nonadapted OL library, but what version is used in Mapbuilder? Is the uncompressed source available? How will these version issues be handled?
