I think I know the answer to my previous question about the timer tool and
the multiple flickers. I think it's probably an issue of maybe the timer
getting backed up. I have a refresh of 3 seconds and I think sometimes, the
full refresh can take 4 or 5 seconds. This would mean the timer finds it
more important to make sure it doesn't miss a timer firing opportunity,
rather than make sure that it fires specifically on a 3 second interval. Is
it possible to make the timer for a model not fire if it's rendering? Is
there a render event for a model, where you could tap into whether or not
the timer should fire based on if the model has finished updating? I notice
after it appears that the display catches up by flickering repeatedly, it
will only flicker once on the next update. As to why it's able to refresh
the model so fast on those multiple refreshes, I'm not sure.

Is there any way I can get more information on what might be going on inside
of map builder?

Thanks!
