We've got a client who wants to run only non-beta software -- which means MapGuide OS 1.1.0 rather than 1.2.0 (because they want delivery before the end of June) -- on their Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4 Update 4 server. The install proceeds well until we come to build_oem.sh, which aborts after encountering ACE errors. I understand that this is likely a compatibility issue between the GCC 3.4.6 installed by Red Hat, and the GCC 3.2.3 used for MapGuide 1.1.0. I also hear that thre are "compatibility libraries" available that might resolve this problem.

Can someone point me to a step-by-step guide (I'm not very Linux-friendly yet) to how we might install and use those libraries? Is there some other way to resolve this problem?
