This is more geared for FC4 but I assume it is the same issue with Ace. There is some information on Ace and a couple other issues with fixes at this link: http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Building_MapGuide_on_Fedora_Core_4
Side Note: I recommend the newer version of MapGuide even if it is a release candidate. Cent OS 4.4 is the same as RedHat Ent 4 Update 4 and I had no issues getting everything but the ODBC and MySQL FDO to compile. The install proceeds well until we come to build_oem.sh, which aborts after encountering ACE errors. I understand that this is likely a compatibility issue between the GCC 3.4.6 installed by Red Hat, and the GCC 3.2.3 used for MapGuide 1.1.0. I also hear that thre are "compatibility libraries" available that might resolve this problem. Can someone point me to a step-by-step guide (I'm not very Linux-friendly yet) to how we might install and use those libraries? Is there some other way to resolve this problem? -- James Card 209-578-5580 _______________________________________________ mapguide-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users _______________________________________________ mapguide-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users
