Thanks for the WMS service URL. However I could not reproduce the problem. Mainly because I couldn't find a layer with a dot in its name amongst the several hundred WMS layers provided by that service.
Can you provide the exact layer name (as indicated in their WMS capabilities XML) that is giving you grief? Because I can't find it and I don't want to waste time doing trial and error on a WMS service that has several hundred layers. Also for reference, this is what I did. 1. Connect to my MG 4.0 beta 2 server with MapGuide Maestro 2. Create a WMS feature source 3. Connect to the given service URL 4. Click Advanced on the WMS Feature Source editor to have it build a default configuration document and bring up the advanced configuration dialog. 5. This config document as-is could not be saved as the MG server complains about log buffer size full (probably because we're trying to save a Feature Source with a several MB XML configuration document. So I implemented some QoL improvements to this WMS config UI ( https://github.com/jumpinjackie/mapguide-maestro/issues/154) to allow us to trim out a whole bunch of feature classes, resulting in a slimmer configuration document before saving. 6. Once configured, I saved the feature source 7. I then set up a Layer Definition pointing to this new Feature Source. Barring a few feature classes (geodati_base_* in particular) pretty much any feature class I pointed this layer defn at was previewable. - Jackie You wrote: Hi, Yes is a public wms here the link to capabilities https://wms.geo.ti.ch/service?service=WMS&version=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetCapabilities Thanks MAURIZIO MASELLI Geografo dipl.
