This is likely the map that Rodney mentions:
http://www.encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org/pages/11538.html . There is
also a map of bootlegger's territory a bit earlier:
http://www.georgeglazer.com/archives/maps/archive-pictorial/bootleg.html .

To John Day, et al
I haven't got a map of the whole of the US showing gangland controls but I
do have a very detailed and pictorial map of Chicago showing who controlled
which areas. As well as Capone Territory there are other areas such as
O'Donnell Territory, Stickney, Saltis Territory, District of O'Banion,
Little Sicily, Cicero etc. The map is too detailed to mention them all, and
there are picturesque vignettes on almost every block.
I think the original map dates to about 1930 and has been reprinted by the
Newberry Library; at least that's where I bought mine it a few years ago.
It's a large folding one, fully coloured.
Yes, take care you don't get mixed up with the characters and their haunts

Probably for the US members of this list.
I was reading an article tonight about George "Machine Gun" Kelly as
the dominate gang leader during Prohibition in Memphis. Everyone
knows Capone controlled the Chicago area. And the Sheltons and
Birgers St Louis and Southern Illinois. I always heard that Capone
wouldn't go south of Danville Illinois because the Birgers.
Did anyone ever produce a map of the US as to who controlled or
operated in which areas? Someone must have!
Seemed like it would have been an interesting map!
Take care,
John Day
