Hmmm. Cutting through the rather vague journalese of the article, it appears that the German team have been studying Codex Seragliensis GI 57 (edited by a Swiss team and published on CD-ROM in 2006, ISBN3-7965-2148-7: http://www.ptolemaios.unibe.ch/Text%20Ptolemaios.pdf ) and that what will be published in 2011, again by the Swiss, is not merely a reproduction of the original, but an attempt to plot all Ptolemy's geography onto modern base-maps ( http://www.ptolemaios.unibe.ch/ ). Or maybe there are two rival Ptolemy projects racing towards roughly the same goal, which would be interesting.
