Thanks for the kind words. I always appreciate it when people have nice things to say about my work. I agree that it would be nice to have similar works for other states--and countries. Now that I am largely finished with New York, I am thinking about taking on the mapping of Mexico to slow down the decay of my little gray cells in retirement. I got a chance to take a look this morning and, were I still teaching cartography, this would definitely become a reference for the class. On the other hand, I'm thinking similar efforts for other states would be great references for teaching "the geography of .......". I remember being frustrated when I was teaching Geography of the Pacific Northwest, I really wanted to use contemporaneous source materials for the early times when discussing the boundaries and various entities that appeared and disappeared along the way.
