The appearance of the map at the link makes me again want to suggest that while viticultural cartography, both thematic and historic aspects, may not rate its own conference, a presentation or panel at more general map confences would not be out of place. Historically, we can go back to the depiction of vinyards on estate maps and come on up to modern wine atlases and even detour into maps on wine labels. The map at the link also falls into that category of maps derived from or inspired by transportation maps, particlarly those of the Underground and the Metro.
