Let me return to a more common language. The "roemer" (a German form of wine
glas) in question is in the Metropolitan Museum in New York..
The glass engraving shows a strongly reduced adoption of the 1555 map of the
Rhine area by Caspar Vopelius.

Dubito, generaliter loquendo, num "mapamundo em vidro" vasum ad bibendum
aptum iudicandum possit.
Licet imaginem illius vasi pervulgari petere, ut communitas mapparum amantium
(MapHist appellata) verum cernere possit?
