I have been experimenting with creating ODBC linkages with an Access
data file. The procedure is straightforward. I run into difficulties
within MI. My situation is after the initial ODBC connection is made,
a browser window of the data file opens. You receive a little
information box indicating that your table can be edited. At this
point if you try an make the ODBC table mappable, you receive a
message indicating that a MapInfo catalogue has not been created. So
far I am with the program. I create the catalogue and proceed to make
the table mappable, only to receive a message now saying my table
cannot be edited. I thought this was the entire objective of ODBC
links, having two way connection. That is if I update the Access table
then MI reflects those changes and the reverse.
Could someone enlighten me?
