We have experienced a lot of problems with SP5 on NT Workstations and Server
but predominantly with MapX.
One of the few problems we had with MapInfo was related to MDAC upgrade in
SP5 (and IE5) that was causing ODBC errors.
Be really careful, especially about the order you install components.
Make sure you download the latest version of MDAC from microsoft.com. They
have recently released bug fixes for these problems.
