MI dxf import woes

When trying to import an election board precinct map created in autocad I get the following: "dxf file does not contain a tables section" "dxf file does not contain a block section" "dxf file does not contain an entities section"   Could someone please advise what's happening here?   Thanks,   Curtis Killman
