Thanks to everyone who replied to my question on HPGL2 printing. I've downloaded the Oce drivers, but haven't tried it yet as I'm still working on the maps. I've been trying to print some smaller test plots at the same scale (1:24,000) on our HP Deskjet 855C, but it doesn't print many of the colours correctly when printing lines. The basic colours like red, blue, black and green come out nice and sharp, but most of the rest come out as faint, "bitty" looking lines, almost like a bad raster image of a vector line. A specific example is the the color RGB 128,128,0, which is the fifth from the right on the top row of the MI colour palette (on 5.0). I'm trying to print some contour lines with this colour but they look terrible. Is this just a limitation of my printer? I downloaded the latest driver from HP (the 850C driver), but that doesn't help. Any suggestions? TIA, ________________________________________ Tim Warman Geologist & GIS Specialist Richard C.
