Ever gone to make a layer editable in the Layer Control, but then changed
your mind?
Save your work before conducting this failsafe method of crashing MapInfo:
* Bring up the Layer Control (Ctrl-L)
* Hold down the left mouse button over any layer name
* Hit the esc key whilst still holding down the mouse key
Watch Dr Watson appear. I'd like to say you only do this once, but
unfortunately that isn't the case.
