You can't put two thematics on the same layer, but if you were to Add that
table again to your layer dialog, you could make a second thematic using it.
Your Layer Control would look something like this:

>Ind. Value with OrdinalCol
Mytable
>Ranges by NominalCol
Mytable
Basetable

NOT LIKE...
>Ind. Value with OrdinalCol
>Ranges by NominalCol
Mytable
Basetable
