Greetings fellow GISers, I have imported some autocad files from both DWG and DXF into mapinfo. I have specified that the projection system is AMG 84 zone 56. However when I overlay the imported table onto my exisiting data I get a blank screen. Even though under tables, maintenance, structure the projection system is AMG 84 zone 56. Curiously in autocad (ver 14) the coordinates are the full compliment ie a point is represented as 9654700mN 4610900mE however when imported the point becomes 4700mN 10900mE. Secondly I have no dimensions on line i.e. x,y points are all the same values. I'd image if I fix the 1st problem the rest should follow on. I have exported the Autocad in both formats and converted it into tble and mif. Please don't say that I have to save the image as a bitmap and register it. It can be done but I only have 24 hours in a day. I have zero knowledge of mapbasic (shall be remedied eventually) and no access to the internet to check the archives.
