Dear MI List.... I hope this easy request does not annoy some list users BUT I am trying desperately to automate the creation of a thematic "Ranges of Values" SHADE layer in a map using MBasic. I have read the manual/ref. guide and cannot get it to work correctly. I am trying to create a series of maps where each map category is constructed of EQUAL RANGE but everytime I cannot find the correct command so even when I run the MB with "Equal Range" specified it produces a map made of categories formed by EQUAL COUNT - I then have to convert it manually using Modify and then switching to EQUAL RANGE. If I can do this manually then I assume it can be automated - also it calculates the ranges (i.e. number and division of categories) automatically so I was wondering whether it is possible code this in MBasic - as I cannot specify preset ranges for each map without already creating them individually. Hope somebody can offer some advice....sorry to bung up the list.
