Hi
We are also having problems connecting to our SQL 7.0 servers from Mapinfo.
The error is different. I'am able to establish a connection with the MS
drivers, but when I try to open the table, I'm reciving a ODBC error
stating, that the connection is busy with another hstmt (the same ODBC DSN
works fine with Access and MS Query).
We are using the new MDAC 2.1 from Microsoft (you need it to get a god
connection from Access to your SQL server), but had the same problem with
the original ODBC driver manager.
I have just tried to greate a new Mapinfo ODBC connection with the MI SQL
server driver and succedded !!!.
The trick of the tale was, to create a SQL server user (we are using
integrated NT security) and use this user to get access to the SQL server.
