To Andrew -
Thanks for the reply. I have a couple of tables uploaded into Oracle and it
works!!
I have a few remaining questions:
1. I upload a table containing regions with different colours and
brush_style = 2 (solid). When I look at the Oracle based table via MapInfo
all the regions have one color. I suspect the chosen color is the color of
the first uploaded region. Is that a bug or (missing) feature?? The general
question is: How do MapInfo stores the symboology of geographical objects
(color, brush style.....) when tables are stored in Oracle Spatial ??
2. Easyloader works fine. But I have 4 GBytes data in _MicroStation_ DGN
files, that's going to be stored in Oracle, and accessed by MapInfo
afterwards. I would like to use FME for the upload job, so I'll have to
"clone" the Easyloader function into FME. I'll allmost deduced the
relationship and contents of the various tables in Oracle
(Mapinfo_Mapcatalog, sdo_geom_metadata, spatial index tables...), but I'm
still missing the symboology information (back to question 1...). Is there -
one piece of - a "whitepaper", that's describing in detail the
MapInfo/Oracle Spatial feature ??
