MI MapX and Oracle...PLEASE HELP

HELLO MI-LISTERS,   Please help me getting some answers for this issue...since I have no other resource for this.   I want to have any technical experience story on map based application using Oracle Designer/Developer 2000 and MapX. Are there any possibilities to develop a map based application based on an existing application that had been developed under those Oracle Tools? How about Oracle 7.0 and 8.0 with MapX/MapInfo - does MapInfo have already support it instead of Oracle 8i?   We have a client that asked us to develop a map based application with mapinfo using their compliance IS standards, i.e. oracle environment.   As always...
